Japanese students help construction activities

Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, March 15 (UNI) A group of 130 students from a University in Japan are helping the volunteers of Amrithananda Mayee Mutt to construct permanent houses for Tsunami victims at Nagapattinam.

According to Mutt sources, the students were helping the labourers by carrying construction materials to the site and painting the houses.

The Mutt, which had constructed 326 houses for the Tsunami victims at Nagapattinam, was constructing yet another 314 houses.

Earlier, a batch of 88 students from Japan came to Nagapattinam to help the construction activities.
