Anti-Naxal activists gherao home minister in Chhattisgarh
Jagdalpur, Mar 15 (UNI) The activists of 'Salwa Judum'-- the ongoing anti-naxalite movement in Bastar-- today gheraoed Chhattisgarh Home Minister Ram Vichar Netam at Kutru near Bijapur, during his visit following the Maoist attack in which 54 security personnel were killed in the wee hours today.
The minister had reached Kutru police station and gathered information about the naxalite attack at Ranibodli police camp.
A large number of Salwa Judum activists reached there raising slogans against the minister, accusing his government of having failed to provide adequate security to those participating in the campaign against the rebels.
Later, the Home Minister left the scene saying that he had to return to the state capital by helicopter before sunset.
