New Delhi, Mar 15 (UNI) For the fifth consecutive day today, a chill continued to sweep through Delhi resulting in a sharp fall in minimum temperature to 10.8 degrees Celsius, from 13.3 Degrees yesterday.

Though the Sun shone clear and bright, strong Northwesterly winds lend a chill to the Delhi air.

Though the maximum rose slightly to 24 Degree C, the cold winds led to a drastic fall in minimum temperature to 10.8 degrees Celsius, five degrees below normal.

The maximum also remained six degrees below normal.

The chill in the air could persist for the next two to three days with the weathermen forecasting strong Northwesterly surface winds to prevail in Delhi during the next few days.

The met office has forecast a mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with the likelihood of strong surface winds.

The minimum temperature tomorrow would be 11 degrees C, the Met office said.
