Jaipur, March 14 (UNI) The Rajasthan High Court today issued showcause notices to state Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, Divisional commissioner and District Collector for allowing professional dancers to perform during Holi on the Collectorate premises.

The officials have been asked to file their reply within two months. Taking suo motu notice of an application filed by an independent employee in the case, Justice A K Parihar passed the orders.

The application said employee Ramavtar Bharadwaj took oral permission from District Collector Rajeshwar Singh and got professional dancers (women) to perform in the premises.

Many other senior officials also graced the function. The applicant has urged that the Collector should be kept on Awaiting Posting Orders (APO) and the matter should then be investigated.

The applicant said many employees wanted to come as witness to the court but were afraid of Collector's personal retaliation against them.
