CPI(M) leader alleges land scam in HTL's divestment
New Delhi, Mar 14 (UNI) CPI(M) leader Tapan Kumar Sen today asked the Centre to intervene and stop the transaction of Hindustan Teleprinters Limited (HTL) being divested to Himachal Futuristic Company Limited (HFCL).
He alleged that 11 acres of prime land in Chennai worth Rs 298 crore could be auctioned by the private sector HFCL which had earlier undervalued it at Rs six crore.
Even the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) had pointed out these facts, said Mr Sen during the zero hour.
''This is a clear case of undervaluing public property and the Centre must stop the transaction,'' he said.
