SP releases second candidates list for UP assembly polls
Lucknow, Mar 13(UNI) The Samajwadi Party today released the names its second list containing 23 candidates for the first phase of elections in 62 assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh scheduled to be held on April 7.
In the first list of 58 candidates, released earlier this month, the party had announced 37 party candidates for the first phase and 21 for the second phase of theassembly polls.
According to party sources, SP national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav released the list which included renowned Bhojpuri singer Chiriya Prajapati who will contest on the SP ticket from Modha assembly seat.
Following are the names of the candidates released by the party tonight: Ms Aruna Tomar (Sarsaul), Rakesh Sachan (Ghatampur), Ms Aruna Kumari(Bhognipur), Ram Swaroop Singh (Swarankhera), Shiv Kumar Beria (Bilaur), Smarath Pal (Derapur), Ms Chiriya Prajapati (Modha), Ms Ambesh Kumari (Charkheri), Srinivas Budhalia (Rath), Girja Charan Rajput (Mahoba), Hargovind Kushawaha (Jhansi), Hariom Yadav (Shikohabad), Rasmveer Singh Yadav (Jasrana), Anujesh Yadav (Gheror), Rameshwar Singh (Aliganj), Rajendra Singh Chauhan (Patiali), Suraj Singh Shakya (Saket), Manpal Singh (Kasganj), Sishupal Singh (Etah), A K Singh (Nidholikala), Anar Singh Diwakar (Jaleshwar), Azeem Bhai (Firozabad) and Chitarmal Mahor (Agra west).
The notification for the first phase was issued this morning and the last date for filing of nomination papers is March 20.
