Proposed waterway will be completed by Mar 2010: CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 13 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today informed the Assembly that the proposed waterway between Tiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod will be completed by March 2010.

In a written reply, he said works for calling tenders had already started for the first phase of work (2006-2007).

Stating that the main hurdle for the work was people were living on the banks of the river, he said adding steps would be taken to evacuate the people living there before commencing the work.
