New Delhi, Mar 13 (UNI) A scuffle broke out between members of the Left parties and the DMK and other parties from Tamil Nadu over the introduction of the Indian Maritime University Bill, 2007, forcing a second adjourment of the Lok Sabha for 45 minutes till 1300 hrs.

Earlier, the House had been adjourned for ten minutes on the same issue.

As soon as the laying of papers in the House was over and a motion taken up, Speaker Somnath Chatterjee asked Minister for Surface Transport T R Baalu to introduce the Bill.

As soon as Mr Baalu stood up to introduce the Bill, there was a commotion from the MPs of the Left parties from West Bengal as the Bill proposes to set up a maritime research and studies centre of the national level in Tamil Nadu instead of Kolkata.

Before the matter could generate further heat among the members, the Speaker adjourned the House for ten minutes.
