Govt taking steps to get car factory established in Kerala:CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 13 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today informed the State Assembly the government was taking all initiatives to get the proposed car factory by Nissan Motor Company of Japan to the state.

In a written reply, he said Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem had already sent a letter to the Company on February 22 and also taking steps to contact with the company officials in this regard.

Mr Achuthanandan said if the company reacted positively to the letter, the government would take steps and provide all facilities for setting up the factory in the state.

He disclosed that the government had information that the company was planning to set up a factory in south India.
