Ranchi, Mar 13 (UNI) The Jharkhand government today said the CBI would inquire into the 'missing' case of BJP Legislator Kunti Singh's son.

The CBI decided to take up the case after receiving a report from the state police, which were previously investigating the matter.

Rajeev Ranjan, Ms Singh's son, had been 'missing' for the past three years and the matter was being investigated by the state police.

Responding to the call attention motion, raised by suspended BJP MLA Ravindra Rai, Deputy Chief Minister Stephen Marandi said CBI inquiry would be conducted into the matter after getting a report from the state police.

Earlier, Mr Rai said Rajeev Ranjan had gone missing following accusation that he was involved in coal trader Pramod Singh's murder three years back.

The case is currently being inquired by the CBI.

MLA Kunti Singh demanded that the matter should be inquired by the same team, which was investigating Pramod Singh's murder.
