Shamsher Singh Dullo resigns, Bhattal Punjab CLP Leader

New Delhi, Mar 12 (UNI) Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Shamsher Singh Dullo has resigned owning moral responsibility for the defeat of the party in the recent Assembly elections.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has accepted his resignation and asked him to continue till the appointment of the next PCC President, Congress General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, Mrs Rajinder Kaur Bhattal has been chosen as Leader of the CLP by a unanimous resolution of the PCC.
