Punjab government transfers 11 district police chiefs

Chandigarh, Mar 12 (UNI) In yet another major administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government tonight transferred 11 district police chiefs and 19 other senior police officers.

According to official orders, Rakesh Aggarwal will be the new SSP of Kapurthala , while Mrs Anita Punj will take over as District police chief of Hoshiarpur. Arun Pal Singh has been posted as SSP Nawanshahar, P K Sinha SSP Ropar, and Kapil Dev as SSP Faridkot.

Arpit Shukla will be the new SSP of Jalandhar, R K Jaiswal will be SSP Ludhiana, L K Yadav has been posted SSP Bhatinda, Parmood Ban as SSP Muktsar, Dinesh Partap Singh SSP Ferozpur and R S Khatra will be the SSP of Mohali.

Mrs Gurpreet Deo has been posted as DIG (Provisioning and Modernisation CPO), while Jagdish Kumar has been posted as DIG counter Intelligence, Arun Kumar Oraon as DIG Intelligence CPO and S S Chauhan has been posted as DIG CM Security.

Mr K J S Pannu has been posted as DIG-cum-Joint Director, MRS, PPA Phillaur, Paramjit Singh Sarao as DIG IRB-II and Training Jalandhar and Paramjit Singh Gill as DIG Litigation.

Mr Rohit Chaudhar has been posted as IGP Computer and Tele communication, CPO, C S R Reddy goes as IGP IRB, Patiala, H S Dhillon will take over as IGP Traffic, CPO, Rajinder Singh as IGP Operations, CPO, and S K Sharma has been posted as IGP Training CPO The government has placed the services of 7 PPS officers--- Balkar Singh, Mukhtiar Singh Dahia, Shiv Kumar, Kanwarjit Singh Sandhu, Gurpreet Singh Gill, Sukhdev Singh and Rajinder Singh at the disposal of Punjab Vigilance bureau for suitable postings.
