NCP ahead in ZP elections in Pune district

Pune, Mar 12 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is forging ahead in this district having won 20 seats followed by Congress three seats, Shiv Sena 2 seats, BJP 1 seat, JD 1 seat and Independent 1 seat of the 75 seats to Zilla Parishad(ZP).

District collector Prabhar Deshamukh told reporters that the results will take time to tabulate.

Counting of the votes began at noon today, he said.
