Man dies after being given 'Ketamine' injection in TN

Vellore, Tamil Nadu, Mar 12 (UNI) One person died and three others fell inconscious after they were injected a medicine to help them sleep.

Police said four persons, were staying in a lodge here. When they found it difficult to sleep, a doctor Amirthamba, who was staying in the adjacent room, administered to them a 'Ketamine' injection.

Paduram, hailing from Jharkhand, died on the way to the hospital, while others hailing from West Bengal, were here to report for their duty in Railways.

Ketamine is normally used in an operation theatre.

A case had been registered and investigation was underway, police added.
