Government declare two-day holiday in Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 12 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Government has declared closure of all educational institution in the Kashmir valley for two days from tomorrow following heavy snowfall.

This decision was taken at a meeting here this afternoon in the wake of heavy snowfall in the entire valley, including Srinagar, Kargil and Drass.

The schools will now reopen on March 15.

The Kashmir University has also postponed entrance examinations for different post graduate courses as majority roads to far flung and remote areas were closed due to heavy snowfall. New dates will be announced later.

The educational institutions reopened in the Kashmir valley and Kargil district on March Ist after three month winter vacation.
