Fire claims one life in Sadar Bazaar shanties

New Delhi, Mar 12 (UNI) One person died when a fire broke out in a shanty cluster near Sadar Bazaar in Old Delhi late last night.

The blaze in the hutments on Qutub Road near Old Delhi Railway station started at about 0000 hrs, fire brigade said today.

As many as 35 firetenders took about five and a half hours to put out the fire.

More than 325 shanties and five adjoining shops were gutted in the flames.
