Cow slaughter under the nose of police in Jharkhand: Opposition
Ranchi, Mar 12 (UNI) The Jharkhand government today said action will be taken against those violating the ban on cow slaughter.
The government has taken the decision after heavy opposition from BJP and all other political parties in the state. State BJP's chief whip C P Singh raised the issue and produced some photographsto substantiate his argument.
Mr Singh alleged that 'transport of beef' was going on with the help of some police officials.
The BJP member also expressed concern over the alleged police action despite there being a ban on cow slaughter in the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Stephen Marandi said the government would take stern action and urged the members to provide more authentic information in this regard.
