Congress secures highest number of seats in Sangli

Sangli, Mar 12 (UNI) The Congress got the highest number of seats (30) in the Zilla Parishad elections in the district, even as no party failed to secure an absolute majority.

In the 62-member ZP, the NCP secured second spot winning 28 seats, while independent bagged two seats, Jansurajya Party one and local Kranti Front one, the District election branch sources said tonight.
