New Delhi, Mar 12 (UNI) A six-member core committee has been formed by the Delhi BJP, under the stewardship of senior leader V K Malhotra, to over see the election campaigning for the forthcoming municipal elections in Delhi.

While Ms Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitly, Shatrughan Sinha, K N Sahni and Vijay Kapoor would be the 'special invitees', the Delhi Pradesh Election Campaign Committee would comprise of Sahib Singh Verma, Om Prakash Kohli, Charti Lal Goel, Mange Ram Garg, Vijay Goel, Anita Arya, Lal Behari Tiwari, Jagdish Mukhi among others, Delhi BJP chief Harshvarshan told mediapersons today.

''All district Presidents of the party shall also be members of this Committee and depending on requirement its strength may be increased further.'' The party's main issues in would be the five year ''corrupt'' rule of the Congress, the ''nine year anarchic, oppressive, and despotic'' rule of Sheila Dikshit, the ''three year failed administration'' of the UPA government at the Centre steep price spiral, sealing, demolition, hefty bills of power&water, betrayal with residents of unauthorised colonies, residents of Jhuggi-Jhopri clusters, traders, appeasement for the sake of votes, security of Delhi, and terrorism, he said.

''Even as the High Court and Supreme Court have warned it about dissolving the 'corrupt MCD', more than a dozen MPs of the Congress have been caught in the cases of corruption, bribery, forgery, murder and moral turpitude and the CBI is conducting enquiries on about 86 Councillors,'' he charged.

The Chief Minister is herself involved in power privatisation bungling and the smart card issue and her MP son Sandeep Dikshit has been found to be involved in computer bungling. There are more than five dozen cases of public interests on which the High Court and the Supreme Court have reprimanded this Government several times, said the BJP chief.

''Besides this plans are afoot to impose tax on ground water.

Even after privatisation, people have to pay three times increased power tariff. Fast reading power meters have been installed in about 15 lakh houses by force and Master Plan 2021 has instead of providing relief to the people of Delhi has compelled them to live in tension,'' Mr Harshvardhan said.

The Government has also issued orders to more than ten lakh shopkeepers tenants to pay 12 per cent service tax though they are already paying 30 per cent income tax. Now they will have to pay about 46 per cent tax including cess, he added.
