'Chasma' of INLD to be Khurana's election symbol for MCD polls
New Delhi, Mar 12 (UNI) 'Chashma' (spectacles) -- of the Indian National Lok Dal party -- would be the election symbol of the Bhartiya Jan Shakti Party of former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana and Uma Bharti who will be fight the forthcoming Delhi municipal elections jointly.
Announcing this today, Executive President of the BJS Mr Khurana said like-minded parties like the INLD were joining hands to create a 'new front' that would jointly fight the MCD elections in April.
''We will fight on all the 272 seats under the election symbol 'chashma' (spectacles) and talks are on with others for an alliance.
By March 14 a clear picture would emerge after which a list of about 75 candidates would be announced.'' Stating that 'price rise' and 'destruction of Delhi' through Master Plan 2021 would be his party's election plank, Mr Khurana said both the Congress and the BJP were responsible for the downfall of Delhi and that soon he would tour all over Delhi to apprise the people of the 'real picture'.
''I would like to ask both the parties what did they do for Delhi during their rule. While the Congress broke the common man's back through rocketing price rise, the BJP caused the destruction of Delhi by not bringing the Master Plan in time.'' UNI
