Shimla, Mar 11 (UNI) A suspended Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) employee today demanded a CBI inquiry against state Tourism and Transport Minister G S Bali and Corporation' Managing Director Tarun Sridhar for their involvement in several cases of corruption.

Addressing a press conference here, HP Employees Confederation Corporate Sector President Om Prakash Goel alleged that he was suspended from service for raising his voice against several financial irregularities in the tourism department.

Levelling serious charges of corruption against the two, he urged the Chief Minister to intervene in the matter and set things right in the tourism department, which, he said, had become a den of corruption.

Mr Goel claimed that various reports he had obtained under the Right to Information (RTI) Act from the AG Office have substantiated his charges of corruption and as such an inquiry against the two should be ordered at the earliest.

''I will also approach the Lokayukta and file a suit against Mr Bali after submitting an affidavit,'' he asserted.

He said his case against the minister would set a precedent and teach a lesson to all officials and ministers who try to suppress the voice of the employees.

Spokesperson of HP Employees Confederation, Vinod Kumar, who was also present during the press conference, levelled charges against the transport minister, saying that he should be removed from the Cabinet as he had brought disrepute to the office of a minister.
