Stray peacock spotted in Kidderpore dock

Kidderpore, Mar 11 (UNI) A stray peacock has been spotted in Kidderpore's Dock-3, animal control officials said.

The peacock was hiding in a tree and attempting to escape the animal control officers.

Dock officials first noticed it on the roof of one of the buildings, beside the passenger platform from which ship leave for Andaman, an animal officer Nilendu Paul said yesterday.

Despite efforts by animal control officers to capture the animal, the peacock, however, managed to escape.

It is not known as yet, how the bird reached here or from where it had come.
