This was decided at the state secretariat meeting of the Communist Party of India(Marxist) held here today.

Addressing a press conference here today, CPM MP and party incharge of Rajasthan Human Molla and former MLA and farmer leader Kethram Beniwal said the decision was taken as a tit for tat following the government crackdown on the rally by farmers in Jaipur on February 22.

The agitating farmers under the banner of Kisan, Mazdoor, Vyapar Sagarsh Samiti were not allowed to enter the state capital for the rally by the government.

Mr Molla noted that the agitation was successful in redressing the problems of water and power but said the agitation would continue till their demands were fully met.

He said as part of the continuation of the state wide agitation, the farmers would burn effijies of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on April 17 .

The secretarit strongly condemned the highhanded method adopted by the governemnt in supressing the farmers movement.

17 farmers had lost their lives in police firing and oppression during the agitation, they noted.
