BJP hopes to continue its winning spree in UP, Goa: Javedkar

Hyderabad, Mar 11 (UNI) The BJP today expressed hope that the party would win the ensuing assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and Goa after its landslide victory in Punjab and Uttaranchal polls.

Addressing a press conference here, party spokesman Prakash Javedkar said the results were clear indications that the people were vexed with the Congress for its failure to curb inflation and price rise.

Stating that the Andhra Pradesh and Maharastra Governments had failed to curb the farmers' suicides, he said they should follow the Gujarat Government and its Chief Minister Narendra Modi's pro-farmer policies, which are helping the farmers to flourish.

He also alleged Andhra Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was trying to muzzle the press freedom with his bullying tactics.

The BJP leader said the party would perform well in the ensuing elections to the Legislative Council from the Graduates Constituencies.
