3-year-old girl slips into 60-feet borewell

Bhavnagar, Mar 11 (UNI) A three-year-old girl reportedly fell into a 60-feet dry borewell in Karmadia village, 100 km away from here, this afternoon.

Police said Arti Chawda, who was trying to climb a tree, slipped and fell into the borewell.

Fire fighters and government officials from here have rushed to the village and rescue operations are in progress.

A ten-member rescue team, led by Ahmedabad fire brigade station officer J M Khadia, has also left for the site along with an emergency van and necessary equipment.
