Scorpio worth Rs 9.5 lakh stolen

Mumbai, Mar 10 (UNI) The incidence of car theft is on the rise in the metropolis since last couple of weeks as Kalachowki police today registered a case of theft of a Scorpio car worth Rs 9.5 lakh from Parel Tank road, Abhyudaya Nagar in south central Mumbai.

The complainant, Anil Singh, a businessman said in his First Information Report (FIR), at around 2330 hours, he had parked his vehicle near Parel Tank post office and went home. This morning when he came to go to office, found his vehicle missing.

During last two-weeks, two-three vehicles have been stolen from the same area, the police added.
