Lapang sworn in as Meghalaya Chief Minister

Shillong, Mar 10 (UNI) Mr D D Lapang was today sworn in as the Chief Minister of Meghalaya.

Mr Lapang will head the Congress-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance government.

Mr Lapang's swearing in follows Mr J D Rymbai's exit from the current dispensation earlier in the day following a directive from Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
