Dacoit slain
Damoh, MP, Mar 10 (UNI) Notorious dacoit Inder Singh Lodhi, who carried a reward of Rs 15,000 on his head, was killed in an encounter with police at Dhangaur forest in this district last night, police said today.
However, his four accomplices managed to escape. Based on a tip-off, Damoh Kotwali and Dehat police carried out a joint action and shot dead Lodhi.
Superintendent of Police D P Singh said police were combing the area to track down the dacoits.
The accused was wanted in connection with loot, dacoity, abduction and other crimes besides the murder of Dhangaur sarpanch Prahlad Patel and one villager.
