Centre sanctiones a company of India Reserve Battalion

Mysore, Mar 10 (UNI) Karnataka Director General of Police K R Sreenivasan today said that a company of India Reserve Battalion has been sanctioned by the Centre.

Speaking to media persons here he said that this battalion comprising of 1,000 personnel has been approved by the Centre and would be stationed at Munirabad near Koppal.

There was no dearth of technology for the police department and vehicles are provided to almost every police station in the state.

In remote stations, solar panels are created to have power for atleast nine hours a day for communication purposes and all police stations in the state are getting computerised.

Earlier speaking after receiving the salute at the passing out parade of the 26th batch of Gazetted probationers of Karnataka Police Academy here the officers should be geared up for any eventuality, however, utmost consideration should be given to the common man and the under privileged in society, he said.

The batch of 22 probationers comprised of 14 Deputy Superintendents, two Assistant Commandants and six Deputy Superintendents of Excise.

Srinath Joshi received the all round probationer award in the batch.
