Babulal says will oust Koda govt by April

Ranchi, Mar 10 (UNI) Buoyed by his win last year in by-election to Koderma parliamnetary seat under Jharkhand Vikash Morcha (Democratic), party president Babulal Marandi today said he will ensure that Jharkhand gets ''rid'' of the Madhu Koda-led UPA government by next month.

Mr Marandi, who floated the political outfit after leaving the BJP in May, 2006, besides resigning from Lok Sabha, said President's rule should be imposed in the state to pave the way for fresh elections and stop ''corrupt'' government.

Addressing mediapersons here, the MP from Koderma said he was now focusing on the ''coming battle of ballots'' and its results would only help him propel his next political move.

However, he did not disclose his poll strategy in Palamu as to how he would oust the Koda government by next month. The by-election was necessitated after Manoj Bhuiyan of the RJD lost the Lok Sabha seat following a money-query scam.

''I am going to Palamu on March 14 and camping there till the polls on March 29, asking the voters about the need of President's Rule to usher in fresh government which will be committed to take care of people's aspirations.'' Refusing to be involved in any ''mud-slinging,'' he said, "His fight was not against any political party as JVM (D) nominee Prabhat Kumar Bhuiyan would seek a mandate by focusing on the burning issues." Meanwhile, Mr Ghanshyam Pathak, who had fought last Assembly elections from Bhawnathpur under NCP ticket, today joined JVM (D) along with 191 supporters.
