Vegetable vendor summoned by Haryana Railway cops
Sangrur, Mar 9 (UNI) A vegetable vendor in Malerkotla has been summoned to appear before the General Railway Police (GRP), Ambala Cantt in Haryana.
The summons, dated March 6, were served on the vendor, Mohammed Ramzan, a resident of Jatpura mohalla in Malerkotla.
Though the reasons for summoning the vendor were not mentioned, but according to Mohammed Ramzan, the GRP probably wanted to question him in connection with the bomb blasts on board the Samjhauta Express near Panipat last month.
While showing the summons to mediaperson here, the vendor claimed that he had no hand in the blasts. ''I have not been to Pakistan for the last couple of years'', he stated.
Local Punjab Police officials however refused to comment on the summons. They clarified that the vendor had no past criminal record.
