Trinidad

Mumbai, Mar 9 (UNI) All the existing visas for the tourists aspiring to visit any of the Caribbean countries have been cancelled between January 15 and May 15.

Keeping this in view, the Republic of Trinidad&Tobaggo (T&T) has made a special arrangement for the Asian traders aspiring to visit Caribbean nation during the period. Titled as 'Caricom' (the abbreviated form of Caribbean Community which comprises countries like T&T, Guyana and others), once issued, this visa can be used by the tourists to visit any of the Caribbean nations without bothering to get any further clearance, Trinidad&Tobaggo High Commissioner in India Pundit Maniddeo Prasad said.

Talking to UNI on the sidelines of a CII interaction session of the trade delegation of his country with Indian industry held here today, Mr Prasad said ''We've made a special arrangement for this purpose to cater to the visa requirements of the Asians aspiring to visit my country or any other Caribbean country which is hosting the World Cup''.

He added that things will normalise on completion of the ongoing cricket tournament there.
