New Delhi, Mar 9 (UNI) Delhi BJP today demanded the resignation of Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy, his deputy Ajay Maken and Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit as the Supreme Court today ordered resumption of sealing drive against commercial establishments in residential areas that are not protected by Delhi Master Plan 2021.

The three leaders should publicly apologise to the public for misleading the people of Delhi on the issue of sealing and as punishment they should immediately resign, BJP Delhi Pradesh President Harsh Vardhan today said.

''The central urban development ministers and the chief minister had assured the people of Delhi that sealing and demolitions will not be done in Delhi after the notification of the new master plan.'' Demolitions were anyway already going on, he added.

The Congress government had notified the master plan in a haste in view of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections, knowing fully well that the issue may ''automatically get stuck'' in the court and the sealing and demolition could resume but the polls would be over by then, Dr Harsh Vardhan further said.
