Raje announces new district in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Mar 9 (UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today announced the creation of a new district lof Pratapgarh in the state, with the total number of districts going up to 33.

The Chief Minister made this announcement during her Budget speech here.

She said considering the long standing demand of the tribals in southern Rajasthan, the government was conceding to the demand for the new district of Pratapgarh.

Pratapgarh tehsil is presently part of Chittorgarh district.
