Liz to take 'saat pheras' with Arun at Umaid Bhavan Palace

Jaipur, Mar 9 (UNI) British actor Liz Hurley and her India-born husband Arun Nayar will take the traditional 'saat pheras' at Jodhpur's Umaid Bhavan Palace today.

Slated for a 1730 hrs ceremony, the celebrity couple will tie the knot for a second time, having already taken their vows in Britain on March 3.

Sources say the security is tight a round the majestic palace, part of which is now a heritage hotel. Nobody is being allowed near the hotel premises. The media has also been kept off limits.

The entire wedding proceedings coverage is supposed to have been given to 'Hello magazine' by the couple, which will earn them a handsome amount.

A grand dinner party will be organised at the impressive Meherangarh Fort tonight. At least 250 guests including Bollywood actor Preity Zinta and her boyfriend Bombay Dyeing's Ness Wadia are likely to attend the wedding and party, supposed to have cost crores.

The women guests are likely to wear pink sarees while the men will sport saffron turbans.

The fort, which is a tourist destination, has been kept closed today. The lighted up fort and its different venues like Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal have been decked up to hold different functions and host the celebrity couple.

Manganiar singers, musicians of the Thar desert, comprising 50 members, will enthrall the audience with melodious, lilting folk songs like Nimbooda, Nimbooda.

Gazi Khan, the lead Manganiar singer, said they have made up a special wedding song for the couple and would sing it to welcome them.

Yesterday , the couple were at Nagaur Fort, 137 km from Jodhpur.

Local people had assembled before the main fort gate to get a glimpse of the celebrity couples. However, the interest in Jodhpur is somewhat subdued with not many interested in the event, say sources.

Rumours that Bollywwod superstar Amitabh Bachchan may attend the wedding turned out to be false as Big B failed to appear.
