JKNPP to adopt fresh line-of-action on Mar 23

Jammu, Mar 9 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP), a coalition partner in state government, today said it will adopt fresh line-of-action on March 23, its 34th foundation day.

Addressing a press conference here, party chief Bhim Singh accused People's Democratic Party (PDP) of playing ''secessionist doctrine'' for political gains in the state.

He criticised PDP for acting as an emissary of Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf and ''provoking Kashmiris on communal and secessionist doctrine.'' Looking at the present political scenario, Prof Singh said assembly polls can any time knock the doors in J and K. ''Both Congress and PDP have started exploiting the sentiments of 'innocent Kashmiris' and are preparing for elections.'' He also expressed serious concern over the silence of Congress-led state as well as Centre government on PDP's demands, including troop withdrawal and revocation on Armed Forces Special Powers Act from J and K.

JKNPP leader asked the government to appoint Delimitation Commission so as to provide each region of state its equitable share and the ST communities their share in the assembly by providing reservation as is required under law.
