Govt to regularise 200 Hindi teachers
Itanagar, Mar 9 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet will regularise 200 Junior Hindi subject teachers appointed on contractual basis, Water Resource Department Minister Tako Dabi said here today.
Mr Dabi said the cabinet took this decision during its sitting yesterday. About seventy per cent of the schools in the state were running without hindi subject teachers and the cabinet decision would help to give a fillip in this regard, he added. The cabinet also approved opening of government colleges in all the districts, including Yachuli in Lower Subansiri district during next financial year, provided there were land available, he said. However, all those districts, where government colleges already existed, would not be included, he said.
The Arunachal Cabinet has also decided to examine the proposals thoroughly for establishment of private colleges through higher education department as per the existing procedure under the guidance of Education secretary, he added.
Mr Dabi also informed that the cabinet has further decided to provide stipend and book grants to all the Arunachal Pradesh state tribal (APST) students undergoing professional and technical courses in institutions outside the state, which was not covered earlier under Arunachal Stipend Scheme, 2001.
