Bhim offers to bear all expenses of Geelani's treatment
Jammu, Mar 9 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Panthers Party (JKNPP) supremo Bhim Singh today offered to bear all the expenses on the treatment of breakaway Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who is suffering from cancer.
Talking to reporters here, Prof Singh said he would like to bear all the treatment expenses of the ailing Hurriyat leader.
Mr Geelani, 77, has been reportedly diagnosed with malignancy in his only kidney and needs immediate surgery.
JKNPP leader also urged the Centre for allowing Mr Geelani to go abroad for his treatment. ''Impounding passport (of Geelani) was a wrong decision,'' he said.
Prof Singh, who has a close political association with Mr Geelani, lambasted Centre for ignoring the sentiments of Kashmiri Muslims.
