A teenager raped by her maternal uncle

Mumbai, Mar 9 (UNI) Maternal uncle of a teenager was arrested this morning on charges of rape at Dahisar in western suburbs here.

Police said accused Kamlesh (27), maternal uncle of the victim, his 14-year-old niece was arrested for raping thrice her in December last year at Dahisar in western suburbs.

The matter came to light when the victim complained of abdominal pain and vomitting to her parents late last night. She was rushed to a hospital where doctors diagnosed her as pregnant.

Thereafter, the victims' parents lodged a complaint against the accused at Dahisar police today.

The victim told the police that the accused, who was staying in the adjoining room had called her in his house and raped her. He also threatened her of dire consequences including life threat if the matter is disclosed to anybody.

Kamlesh has been charged under section 376 (rape) of the Inidan Penal Code (IPC).
