A major fire broke out at Electric transmission station

Bhuj, Mar 9 (UNI) Electricity supply in the Anjar area was disrupted due to a major fire that broke out in the Central transmission station here last night, causing demages upto Rs three crore.

The fire broke out, when a fault occured in the transmission lines. Nearly 20,000 liter diesel stored in the transmission station also burnt in the fire.

The electricity supply was restored early this morning.

Fire tenders from Kandla ports were able to control the fire within three hours using special chemicals.
