Two nominations filed for Palamu bypoll

Ranchi, Mar 8 (UNI) Two nominations were filed today for the Palamu Parliamentary bypoll slated for March 29, taking the candidates' tally to three so far.

Deputy Commissioner cum Electoral officer Nagendra Prasad Singh said Prabhat Kumar Bhuyian from Jharkhand Vikas Morcha(Prajatantrik) and Umesh Paswan from the Lokjanshakti Party filed their nominations today.

Meanwhile, CPI(ML) had announced to field Mr Ravindra Bhuiyan as its candidate, he would file his nomination on March 9.

The last date for filing nomination was fixed on March 10, scrutiny will take place on March 12 and the last date of withdrawal is March 13. The result would be declared on April one.

The by-election was necessitated after Mr Manoj Bhuiyan(RJD) lost his Lok Sabha seat following the cash-for-query scam.
