Six robbers arrested in Mysore
Mysore, Mar 8 (UNI) The city police have arrested six robbers and recovered gold ornaments worth Rs six lakhs from them.
Speaking to newspersons here, city police Commissioner Praveen Sood said the city crime branch police nabbed them within hours of the six robbers looting a man in the city yesterday.
The arrested were Tabrij Ali, Hussain Ali, Abdul Khader, Basha, Noushad Ali and Mosin Khan Irani, all from Hosallikoppalu village of Hassan district.
The culprits, posing as policemen in mufti, used to advise women on the roads to remove their jewellery as thieves were looting the area. Under the pretext of helping the women, they would parcel the jewels themselves. Upon reaching their respective houses, the women would realise that they had been duped as they would find only stones in the packets.
