Several organisations in Pondy celebrate Women's Day

Puducherry, Mar 8 (UNI) Several organisations in the union territory of Puducherry today celebrated the ''International Women's Day'' (IWD).

In a function held here by the Legal Service Authority of the union territory women police personnel, women judicial officers, advocates and members of Self-Help Groups participated. Competitions on singing and painting were also conducted to mark the occasion.

Functions were organised at the Puducherry University and also by the Puducherry Munnetra Congress women's wing. However, no function was organised by the territorial administration on the occasion.
