Precious metals rise further on bullish global advices

Mumbai, Mar 8 (UNI) Precious metals were on the upswing today following bullish global advices with Silver up by Rs 190 per kg and Gold by Rs 80 per ten gm on the Bombay Bullion Exchange.

Silver fineness opened upward at Rs 19,525 per kg. on higher advice, later it further improved and closed at Rs 19,615 per kg with a huge gain of Rs 190 from its yesterday's close.

Similarly, in London, the silver went up 12.80/13.08 per troy ounce against USD 12.87/12.89 per troy ounce in New York.

Standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) opened high at Rs 9,440 and Rs 9,490 per ten gm on good industrial demand.

The yellow metal edged up and closed at Rs 9,425 (standard gold) and Rs 9,475 (pure gold) per ten gm with a gain of Rs 85 and Rs 80 respectively, from its last close.

In London, the yellow metal was also registered high at USD 650.80/652.00 per troy ounce as compared to USD 644.40/646.00 per troy ounce in New York on Wednesday.

Following are the spot Silver and Gold closing prices: Silver (per kg) .999 grade : Rs 19,615 (19,425), Gold (per 10 gm): Standard mint 99.5 purity : Rs 9,425 (9,340), Pure gold 99.9 purity : Rs 9,475 (9,395).
