MP police officer gets Hindi award

Bhopal, Mar 8 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh police official Dr Ambreesh Srivastava has been awarded the prestigious Pandit Govind Vallabh Pant prize- 2005-06 for excellent writing in Hindi on different topics of the police department.

Dr Srivastava, at present posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police (Training), has been given a cash prize of Rs 15,000 and a certificate of merit, a police spokesman said today.

The award, instituted by the Central Bureau of Police Research and Development, New Delhi, has been given to Dr Srivastava for his book '' Police Margadarshika for Special Armed Forces''.

Earlier also, Dr Srivastava had been awarded twice by BPRD for his excellent work. In 1995-96 he got a first prize on his Hindi book " Police Vigyan'' and in 1996-97 for his book ''Apradh Shastra'.

Madhya Pradesh DGP Anand Rao Pawar has congratulated Dr Srivastava for his achievements and suggested him to continue writing in Hindi in the interest of the police department.
