Lioness gives birth to fours cubs
Junagadh, Mar 8 (UNI) In a rare event, a lioness gave birth to four cubs at Javantri village, situated between Talala and Jamvala, near here.
The lioness had taken refuge in a sugarcane field, where she delivered four cubs recently.
The villagers yesterday informed the forest officials, who brought a cage and trapped the lioness and her cubs. They were taken deep into the forest and released, sources said.
Usually, after the incubation period of 110 days, a lioness gives birth to one or two cubs and rarely three.
