New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) An all-party meeting of Karnataka MPs today sought time from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to apprise him about the ''injustice caused to the state'' in the final order of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal.

The meeting, which took place in the chambers of Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman K Rehman Khan, finalised the memorandum to be presented to the Prime Minister.

Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, all the Union Ministers from the state comprising Minister of State for Labour Oscar Fernandes, Minister for Planning M V Rajasekharan, Minister for Surface Transport K H Muniappa and former Union Minister Ananth Kumar participated in the meeting.

The MPs are likely to be given time on March 17, one of the MPs attending the meeting said.

The MPs were originally scheduled to meet the Prime Minister on March six but the meeting could not happen in the light the killing of Jharkhand MP Sunil Kumar Mahto in Singhbhum district on March four.

The effort to seek Central intervention comes in the wake of their futile attempt to discuss the Cauvery issue in Lok Sabha under rule 193 in the light of hurdles posed by Tamil Nadu MPs.
