Kanch Kamakoti peetha Sankaracharaya visits Jagannath temple

Puri, Mar 8 (UNI) Shankaracharya of Kanch Kamakoti peetha Jayendra Saraswati today visited Sri Jagannath temple and offered prayers.

He arrived in the city late last night and stayed in the Shiva temple founded by him near Swargdwar.

The Shankaracharaya blessed hundreds of his followers who converged at the Shiva temple and went to the Gobardhan mutt, offered prayers to one of the oldest Shiva lingam founded by the Aadi shanker there before leaving the city.

The administration had made security arrangements for the Shankaracharya's visit to the holy city.
