Joshi holds DF Govt responsible for load shedding in Maharashtra
Mumbai, Mar 8 (UNI) Senior Shiv Sena leader Manohar Joshi today squarely blamed the Democratic Front (DF) government in Maharashtra for the load-shedding and farmers suicides in the state.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Joshi said the state was facing shortage of nearly 5000 MW power and the Congress-NCP alliance was blaming the erstwhile Sena-BJP government on the Enron issue.
He said the state government hardly made any efforts to resolve the problems of farmers or of power despite having the Union Agriculture Minister and Power Minister at the Centre.
The former Lok Sabha Speaker said Enron came to Maharashtra due to Mr Pawar.
Mr Joshi claimed at least 12 Zilla Parishads out of 27 will go in favour of the Saffron alliance.
The former Chief Minister said the alliance is bound to get the benefit of the internal bickering between the Congress and the NCP whose leaders are making allegations against each other.
Replying to a query, he said the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), an outfit floated by Raj Thackeray, did not do well as projected by the media.
