Ibobi Singh takes oath as Member of Manipur Legislative Assembly
Imphal, Mar 8 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and state Congress President Gaikhangam today took oath as members of the ninth Legislative Assembly.
Mr Shyam of Andro Assembly constituency, who has been lodged in Tihar jail, is the member left to take oath. Former Manipur Congress president Phungzathang Tonsing also took the oath in the day.
Some other members had already taken the oath yesterday. Protem Speaker O Joy of the Manipur People's Party administered the oath to the newly-elected members.
Mr Ibobi Singh took the oath twice as he was elected from two Assembly constituencies, Thoubal and Khangabok.
Mr Singh, Mr Gaikhangam and Mr Tonsing arrived today from New Delhi after holding discussion on the expansion of the Ibobi ministry.
The Chief Minister was sworn in on March 2. UNI
